On November 8th & 9th 2013, Juxtaposition Global Health Magazine will be holding Canada’s first ever Global Health Case Competition, entitled “Toronto Thinks – Global Health Innovations and Solutions”. This event will be an opportunity for undergraduate students from a variety of disciplines to engage with peers in developing and presenting a solution to a real-life global health problem, with proposals being judged by experts in the field.

Under the guidance of faculty from the University of Toronto’s Human Biology department as well as from the Dalla Lana School of Public Health, our team is working hard to plan an informative and entertaining event for participants and observers alike. Day 1 (November 8th) will be a workday for teams, during which they will be provided with a workspace and faculty mentor/advisor who will help to facilitate discussion and formalize proposals. Presentations to the judges will be made on Day 2 (November 9th) and will be interspersed with keynote addresses; observers will be welcomed for this portion of the event.

We are very much looking forward to the event and hope that you will consider joining us in making “Toronto Thinks” a resounding success!
